| Guidance for VISA APPLICATIONS for JAPAN for IAEA Tokyo Conference Participants |
A Visa is required for entry into Japan for anyone not mentioned on the list of countries mentioned on the website. http://www.mofa.go.jp/j_info/visit/visa/02.html#a |
To obtain a visa you have to apply to a competent Japanese diplomatic establishment
(Japanese Embassy or Japanese Consulate General). |
To facilitate your visa application, supporting documents will be provided by Japanese inviting organization (Radioactive Waste Regulation Division, Nuclear and Industrial Safety Agency, Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan). |
To obtain such supporting documents please complete (type) Form V, put your signature and send to Mr. S. YAMASAKI. (Please note that the form will not be processed without your signature). |
With regard to description of the schedule of your stay in Japan, please see the sample of Form V below. |

It is also recommended that you send along with the above documents an Invitation letter from the IAEA to a competent Japanese diplomatic establishment.
The supporting documents will be sent to you via air mail after about one week after receiving completed Form V. |
Please contact Mr. S. YAMASAKI if the supporting documents do not arrive two weeks after submitting Form V. |
