Guidance for VISA APPLICATIONS for JAPAN for IAEA Tokyo Conference Participants

A Visa is required for entry into Japan for anyone not mentioned on the list of countries mentioned on the website. http://www.mofa.go.jp/j_info/visit/visa/02.html#a

To obtain a visa you have to apply to a competent Japanese diplomatic establishment
(Japanese Embassy or Japanese Consulate General).

To facilitate your visa application, supporting documents will be provided by Japanese inviting organization (Radioactive Waste Regulation Division, Nuclear and Industrial Safety Agency, Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan).

To obtain such supporting documents please complete (type) Form V, put your signature and send to Mr. S. YAMASAKI. (Please note that the form will not be processed without your signature).

With regard to description of the schedule of your stay in Japan, please see the sample of Form V below.

It is also recommended that you send along with the above documents an Invitation letter from the IAEA to a competent Japanese diplomatic establishment.
The supporting documents will be sent to you via air mail after about one week after receiving completed Form V.

Please contact Mr. S. YAMASAKI if the supporting documents do not arrive two weeks after submitting Form V.
