| The Office of International Programs promotes and coordinates a wide scope of bilateral and multilateral international cooperation activities for enhancing and improving nuclear safety in Japan and in the world.

| Provision and Collection of Nuclear
Safety-Related Information |
 |
 |
Domestic nuclear safety information is transmitted to
foreign countries through multilateral and bilateral
cooperation channels, for instance, by directly or indirectly participating in;
 |
 |

various meetings of international organizations, e.g., the IAEA and the OECD/NEA, |
| - |
information exchange meetings under bilateral cooperation arrangements between the Nuclear and Industrial Safety Agency (NISA) and its counterparts in major nuclear power generation countries in the world. |

Information on general trends and activities in the field of nuclear safety in foreign countries is also collected through the above meetings. |

JNES has its own cooperative relationship with foreign counterparts to execute its work, for exchanging
information, for improving its familiarity with the latest technology and scientific knowledge and for conducting joint studies.
JNES's current foreign partners are the Institute for Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety and the Atomic
Energy Commission of France, the Gesellschaft für Anlagen- und Reaktorsicherheit mbH of Germany, the Korea Institute of Nuclear Safety, the Nuclear Safety Center of China, the U.S.NRC and the Nuclear Science and Technology Association of Taiwan.

| JNES is an active player in the Cooperation for establishing nuclear safety infrastructures and human resources development in neighboring Asian countries (primarily China, Vietnam) by: |

holding training courses on nuclear safety regulation for the staff of the Chinese and Vietnamese nuclear safety regulatory related organizations |

dispatching experts to hold a nuclear safety seminars in China and Vietnam |

| JNES actively participates with its technical expertise in the activities of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and the Nuclear Energy Agency (NEA) of the OECD, by attending conferences and meetings, serving on technical committees and in working groups, receiving foreign experts and participating in international
cooperative programs. |

| Asian Nuclear Safety Network (ANSN) |

| The International Relations Office operates the Japan
Hub Center of the ANSN, a regional network being developed under the IAEAfs leadership to pool, analyze and share existing and new knowledge and practical experiences. |

seminars and workshops and dispatching experts requested by the IAEA. |
