Policy Planning and Coordination Division
The Policy Planning and Coordination Division is at the helm of JNES as a whole, collecting and analyzing information from overseas and domestic sources in order to make good use of it in securing the safety of nuclear installations.
Inspection Affairs Division
JNES contributes to ensuring the safety and reliability of nuclear installations, through inspections by expert engineer groups.

Technical support in preparation for a nuclear disaster in order to minimize damage.

Conducts safety evaluation, development of standards, investigation, research and testing in a comprehensive manner in order to ensure and enhance the safety of nuclear systems.
Radioactive Waste Management and Transport Safety Division
Supports scientific and rational regulations to ensure safety of radioactive waste management and fuel transportation.
Seismic Safety Division
The Seismic Safety Division contributes to the improvement of the seismic safety of nuclear installations with the latest analysis techniques and tests.
Nuclear Fuel Cycle Facility Inspection Office
The safety of nuclear fuel cycle facilities is ensured consistently from the front end to the back end.
Office of International Programs
The Office of International Programs promotes and coordinates a wide scope of bilateral and multilateral international cooperation activities for enhancing and improving nuclear safety in Japan and in the world.
